Spray Tanning

NEW CUSTOM TAN

Spraytan Service

Light/Medium/Dark  (15min)   $46

One thing we love about owning a salon is that we get to try so many different products. Recently, we started trialling some new Spraytan solutions, and we fell in love with Custom Tan because of its colour, application, low odour and longevity on the skin. Our current Spraytan solutions, Moroccan Tan and Sun Escape have served us well over the years; however, we feel this change brings many benefits.

What we Love about Custom Tan

- Triple moisturising lock formula for intense hydration

- All natural skin beneficial ingredients

- Quick drying, non-sticky, non-oily formula

Spray Tan Preparation

• Make sure you do a full body exfoliation, with a course exfoliation glove or mitt before coming for your spray tan. (We suggest a Milano mitt or Tuscan tan mitt, which we sell at Juren). If you can not get your hands on a mitt, the next best thing is to use a very dry towel (ideally one you have left on the line to dry) and with a firm pressure dry your body all over with a circular motion. Make sure to take extra care around the feet, ankles, knees and elbows.

• Don’t put any moisturising creams, deodorants or perfumes, on before your spray tan as these act as a barrier for the tan also.

• Make sure the body has not been waxed or shaved 24 hours before your spray tan.

• When being spray tanned you may want to wear old undergarments to be sprayed in; however, disposable g-strings are provided for those wanting to minimise lines.

• Make sure you bring loose dark clothing to put on after your tan so not to get wear marks. (no bras)

Things to Avoid to Maintain Your Tan
• Avoid long hot showers and baths and rubbing of the skin as this increases the natural skin exfoliation process. When drying your skin pat dry.

• Avoid chlorinated pools spas and excessive heat such as a sauna as this will dramatically accelerate the fading process; chlorine is a form of bleach.

• Avoid Waxing or shaving following a spray tan as this will remove the top layer of skin, thus removing tan in this area. If you have to shave, make sure you shave with a very thick moisturiser.

• Avoid using any moisturisers or products that contain Glycolic Alpha Hydroxy Acids and Sodium Laureth Sulphate as these ingredients promote increased exfoliation and will accelerate the fading process of the tan.
